SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - 2012
CAVEAT: The events for year 2012 are scheduled well in advance and published in our newsletter The Irish T. Times. Application forms for each event are sent to all members three weeks in advance. Occasionally dates clash or are found to be unsuitable; thus changes are necessary. We hope to keep this web site up dated on a continuous basis so that everyone will know where we stand.
First spring run takes place at Adare Machinery, Croom on Sunday 15th April 2012. We meet for morning coffee at 10:30 am. >>>Brochure
2011 Spring Run-Bandon/West Cork. We assemble at Bandon Motors on the 20th May 2012 for fresh coffee and scones supplied by our hosts Robert & Catherine Clarke. Our journey takes us into the heart of West Cork. Contact Robert & Catherine Clarke 087/238783. >>>Entry Form
Invitation 6 day tour in Ireland14th /19th June 2010 has been extended to members of the Model T Register of Great Britain. Spring Run-East Cork/West Waterford: Sunday 17th June 2012. We meet at the home of Tim & Elizabeth situated on the banks of the river Blackwater overlooking Youghal Bridge for morning coffee. Our journey takes us around the picturesque lanes on the bank of the river Blackwater. Details nearer the event. Our host is Tim Crowley 087/2565040.
22nd Annual Club Rally – Carlingford, Co Louth 7th/8th July 2012 This year we travel North and join up with our members for our annual two day event organised by Michael & Rita Loughran . Carlingford and the Cooley Peninsula, Co. Louth is located just over an hour’s drive from Ireland’s two major cities of Dublin and Belfast . Stradbally.5th/6th August 2012- August Bank Holiday Following on the resounding success of over the past three years, John Hendy and Paul Murphy in collaboration with our friends in Stradbally will organise a one day presentation of Model T Fords on the Sunday of the bank holiday week end. Weather permitting we plan on running a rally on Monday in the greater hinterland of Stradbally. Contact John Hendy 087 2563428
Dungourney Museum – Sunday 19st August, 2011. Continuing on the theme of the past three years, our hosts are Michael & Joan Rigney. There will be an exhibition of the Rigney family collection of Ford cars and commercials from 1911 to the late 1980’s. Sunday lunch, a short drive around East Cork and afternoon tea promises a day to remember. Contact Michael & Joan Rigney 087 2219881.
Waterville Charlie Chaplin Weekend 24th to 26th August 2012. This is the second film festival being held in Waterville, Co. Kerry. The organisers have invited us to participate again next year. We will organise all T events ourselves for the entire week end based at The Waterville Lake Hotel with loads of touring and other activities. Secretary 086 8325769.
Ballinadee Run 30th September 2012, John & Mary O’Neill promise once again to host a memorable trip in West Cork. Start off with morning coffee, rally around the colourful West Cork landscape and have a premier Sunday lunch followed by entertainment for the afternoon. Autumn Run Sunday 14th October 2012 based at Maldron Hotel, near Portlaoise starting @ 11:00 am. Our host Sean McEvoy will lead us on selected parts of the original Gordon Bennett route. This is a popular event that is well supported. Contact Sean McEvoy 087 2898718
